Material: Lana Grossa "Fauna" Lana Grossa "Fauna" (70% organic wool, 30% baby alpaca, RL = approx 60 m/50 g): Approx 850 (950) g mottled beige/brown (col 1); 1 crochet hook size 9.
Main pattern: Work double crochet in rnds acc to crochet chart. The nos indicate each new rnd. Beg with 4 chain and join with sl st to form a ring. Alternately crochet 1 dc and 1 ch around ring. Work 3 ch at beg of every rnd to replace 1 dc. Close each rnd with sl st. The 1. - 5. rnd is shown in full. The arrows indicate 1 main patt rep (PR) = one eighth, to be crocheted 8x in rnd.
Double crochet = dc: Crochet in rnds. Replace 1. dc in every rnd with 3 chain. Close every rnd with one sl st.
Accentuated increases: In relevant rnds w 1. and last dc of every 1/8 th of ring by working 2 dcs into dcs of previous rnd. See also 3. - 5. rnd in crochet chart.
Curved edge: * 1 sc, skip 1 st from prev rnd, 5 dc in 1 dc, skip 1 st from prev rnd * always rep from *.
Gauge: 8 dcs and 4,5 rnd with crochet hook size 9 = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions: Crochet jacket in rnds as a flat circle, beg in the center back. Crochet 4 ch with crochet hook size 9. Work in main patt. Work the first 5 rnds acc to crochet chart. Work the 6. rnd as for 5. rnd, but without increases, instead work 9 dcs and 1 ch alternately. In the 7. rnd work acc incs before and after ch sts as for the 3. - 5. rnds = 11 dc between ch sts. Work the 8. rnd as for 7. rnd = 13 dcs between ch sts. Crochet 9. rnd without increases, working alt 13 dcs and 1 ch each. Crochet 10. rnd as for 7. rnd = 15 dc each between ch. Attention: Do not work any incs in 11. rnd however, at the same time work armholes. Thereby work as foll: Over the 1. 1/8, 15 dc and 1 ch; over the 2. 1/8, for armholes, 1 dc, 13 ch, sk 13 dc from prev row, 1 dc and 1 ch; over the 3. and 4. 1/8, 15 dc and 1 ch each; over the 5. 1/8 work the second armhole as for first, working 15 dc and 1 ch each over the 6., 7. und 8. 1/8. Close rnd with sl st as before. Work the 12. rnd without increases, thereby alt crocheting 15 dc and 1 ch and 1 dc each across the 13 ch. Crochet the 13. rnd with incs, alt working 17 dc and 1 ch each. Crochet the 14., 16., 18., 20. und 22. (and 24.) rnds each without incs, thereby always working the same amount of dcs as in prev rnd, each separated by 1 ch. Crochet the 15., 17., 19., 21., 23. (and 25.) rnd always with acc incs in every 1/8. After the 23. (25.) rnds there are 27 (29) dcs each between the chain sts. Crochet the 24. (26.) rnd without incs, but instead of ch, work 1 dc each into ch from prev rnd. Crochet the curved border in the 25. (27.) rnd and finish.
Sleeves: Work dcs into armholes in rnds. Work 1 sl st into ch st of 1/8 section from underarm. In 1. rnd work 3 ch to replace 1. dc and work 31 dc = 32 dc. Close rnd with sl st. Work 21 rnd altogether as for 1. rnd. In the 22. rnd work every 3. and 4. dc tog = 24 dc. In 23. rnd work curved border, then finish. Crochet 2. sleeve onto piece in exactly the same way.
Finishing: Fold piece exactly in half, block to measurements, dampen and allow to dry. Fold upper edge outwards for collar.
