Materials: Lana Grossa quality "Gala Print" (48% silk, 24% viscose, 17% linen, 11% polyamide, mt 95 m/50 g); 250 g in orange/red/khaki (col 506); one pair 5.5 mm needles.
Basic pattern: number of sts multiple of 3 + 2 edge sts. 1st round: edge st, * slip 1 purlwise, K2, pass slipped st over, 1 yo, rep from *, end with slip 1 purlwise, K2, pass slipped st over, edge st. 2nd row: edge st, P1, pass edge st over 1st st, P all further sts and yo´s, edge st. 3rd row: edge st, K1, pass edge over, * slip 1 purlwise, K2, pass slipped st over, 1 yo, rep from *, end with slip 1 purlwise, K2, pass slipped over, edge st. Rep rows 2 + 3. Work edge sts each time as K st (right side and wrong side rows). Work last right side row (3 sts over) as foll: edge st, K2 tog, pass edge st over.
Gauge: (after blocking and steaming) 14 sts and 22 rows to 10 cm or 4" square.
Method: cast on 218 sts (= 154 cm or 61"). Cont in basic pattern until all sts are worked in. Block scarf, cover with a damp cloth and steam carefully.
