Materials: Lana Grossa quality "Gala" (48% silk, 24% viscose, 17% linen, 11% polyamide, mt = 95m/50g) 300(350) g red (col 13); one pair 4.5 mm needles, one 3.5 mm crochet hook.
Rib/ajouré pattern: work foll chart.
Rose square: in rounds crochet from inside to outside. Cast on 12 ch and join in round with 1 slip st. Work foll crochet chart A, working rounds 1 to 3, then 1st loop of 4th round, then work foll crochet chart B rounds 4 to 11. Fine lines = course of crochet.
Scallop border: see skirt.
Gauges: rib/ajouré pattern: 18 sts and 28 rows to 10 cm or 4" square. Double crochet: 21 sts and 10 rows to 10 cm or 4" square
Front: cast on 78(86) sts and cont in rib/ajouré pattern, starting foll chart at arrow (1st given st = edge st), work patt g 3 times, end with sts after patt g. After 4 cm or 1 5/8" inc for side shaping 1 st at each end on every 8th row 4 times, work inc in rib pattern = 86(94) sts. When work measures 29 cm or 11 1/2" from beginning bind off.
Back: work as given for front.
Sleeves and back crochet part work 6 rose squares
Finishing: join side seams. Crochet tog crochet squares on right side with slip sts. For back with sleeves form a line of 4 squares. Then join at outer squares at top border for front sleeve half 1 square each. Crochet tog lower borders foll line chart with back resp. front, join sleeve seams. Round neck crochet 1 round sc, for each square and each half of front neck border 31 sc, plus between squares, in corners and at center front 1 sc each = 192 sts. Start in one corner, join round with 1 st, 2 ch = 1 sc, miss 3 sts and work scallop border as given. End with 7 dc into 1 st, miss 3 sts, 1 slip st.
Skirt
Materials: Lana Grossa "Gala" (48% silk, 24% viscose, 17% linen, 11% polyamide, mt = 95m/50g) 250(300) g red (col 13); one 3.5 mm crochet hook.
Scallop: * 7 dc into 1 sc, miss 3 sts, 1 sc, miss 3 sts, rep from *.
Gauge: dc: 21 sts and 10 rows to 10 cm or 4" square.
Method: work in one piece in rounds from top to bottom. Cast on 195(210) ch and join in rounds with 1 slip st. Work patt g between arrows foll crochet chart 13(14) times, working passage of rounds as given. Work rounds 1 and 2 once, rounds 3 and 4 twice, rounds 7 and 8 once, rounds 9-12 twice, rounds 17-19 once and rounds 20-23: 3 times = 31 rounds. Then crochet scallop border (= 32nd round) without considering past patt g, miss evenly across only 2 sts twice(4 times).
Finishing: ribbon: work a cord with 4 threads (finished length = 130 cm or 52"9 thread through 2nd round.
