Materials:

LANA GROSSA yarn "Brillo", (50% micro-fibres (polyamide), 40% viscose, 10% linen, mt = 90 m/50 g), 300 g salmon (col 1). One pair 6 mm needles, one 5 mm circular needle.
Border patt: alt K1, P1.
Stst: K on Rs, P on Ws.
Ajouré patt: rounds 1 and 2: K. 3rd round: * cast off 8, cross 2 (= slip 1 on CN and leave at front of work, K1, then K1 from CN), rep from *. 4th round: * cast on 8, K2, rep from *. Rounds 5 and 6: K. 7th round: work as given for 3rd round, staggering patt at centre. 8th round: work as given for 4th round. Rep rounds 1 - 8 once, then K 2 rounds.
Visible dec: right edge: edge st, K1, slip dec over 2 sts (= slip 1, K1, psso); left edge: K2 tog, K1, edge st.
Tension: stst using 6 mm needles: 18 sts and 23 rows to 10 cm square. 
Front: cast on 72 sts with 6 mm needles and work 2 cm in border patt, cont in stst. Wwm 34 cm dec for raglan shaping at each end on every alt row 1 st 10 times, working visible dec. On last return row = work measures 43 cm - dec 6 sts evenly across, then slip rem 46 sts onto a length of yarn.
Back: proceed as given for front.
Yoke: pick up the idle sts of both pieces on CN and cast on 34 sts each between = 160 sts. Cont in ajouré patt in rounds. After 18 rounds in ajouré patt K another 4 rounds, on 1st round K tog each time sts 3 and 4 = 120 sts. On 5th round cast off all sts. 
To make up: join side seams.
