Materials:
approx. 6 (7, 8) balls (approx. 104yd/95m each) of Lana Grossa Ibiza solid (70% cotton, 30% polyamide) in fuchsia (col 106); size 11 [8mm] needles, size 11 [8mm] circular needle, 24” [60cm] long, size K/10½ [6.5mm] crochet hook. Four ¾” buttons in fuchsia [by Union Knopf, item 450229, col 52].
St st:
k on RS; p on WS.
Lace Pattern:
work according to chart. Numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows; numbers at left edge of chart indicate WS rows. Beg chart pat with st(s) before first arrow, work 2 sts between arrows for pat repeat, end with st(s) after 2nd arrow. Work rows 1-15 once.
Gauge:
13 sts and 17 rows = 4” [10 cm] in St st, measured hanging from needle.
Back:
cast on 56 (62, 68) sts. Beg with a WS row, work in lace pat according to chart for 15 rows and back measuring 2¾” [7cm]. Next, work in St st until back measures 12½ (13½, 14¼)” [32 (34, 36) cm] from lace pat. Shape armholes: bind off 1 st at beg of next 8 (10, 12) rows – 48 (52, 56) sts. Cont in St st as established until armhole measures 7¾” [20 cm]. Bind off all sts.
Left Front:
cast on 30 (32, 34) sts and work in lace pat same as for back. Next, work in St st and when same length as back to armhole, shape armhole at right edge same as for back – 26 (27, 28) sts. At same time, when armhole measures 1½” [4cm], shape front neck: bind off 5 sts at left edge once, 3 sts once, 2 sts once and 1 st 5 times. When same length as back to shoulder, bind off remaining 11 (12, 13) shoulder sts.
Right Front:
work same as for left front, reversing all shaping. Sew shoulder seams.
Sleeves:
are picked up and worked from the top down. Arrow on schematic shows direction of work. With circular needle, pick up and k 48 (52, 54) sts around front and back armhole edge. Beg with a WS row, work in St st and shape sleeve as foll: dec 1 st each end of needle on 6th row from beg, then every foll 6th row 8 times more – 30 (34, 36) sts. Cont in St st as established until sleeve measures 15” [38cm] from beg. Work in lace pat according to chart for 15 rows, then bind off all sts loosely.
Finishing:
pin pieces to measurements and block with damp towels. With crochet hook, work 1 row sc and 1 row rev sc [work sc from left to right] along right front, back neck and left front edge. At same time, when working sc row, work 3 sc in each corner st and work 4 ch-2 buttonloops at right front, working bottom loop directly above lace pat and remaining 3 loops spaced 4¼” [11cm] apart. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons.

SCARF • Ibiza solid
Approx. 90½” x 4” [230 x 10 cm]
Materials:
approx. 2 balls (approx. 104yd/95m each) of Lana Grossa Ibiza solid (70% cotton, 30% polyamide) in fuchsia (col 106); size 11 [8mm] needles.
Chain Selvage:
sl first st of every row kwise and k last st of every row. Note: work chain selvage throughout!
Garter Stitch:
k every row.
Lace Pattern:
work according to chart. Numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows; numbers at left edge of chart indicate WS rows. Beg chart pat with st(s) before first arrow, work 2 sts between arrows for pat repeat, end with st(s) after 2nd arrow. Work rows 1-19 once.
Gauge:
16 sts and 15 rows = 4” [10 cm] in garter st, measured hanging from needle.
Scarf:
cast on 18 sts. Beg with a WS row, work in lace pat according to chart for 19 rows and scarf measuring 4¾” [12cm]. Next, work in garter st and dec [k2tog] 1 st each end of needle on first garter st row – 16 sts. Cont in garter st as established until scarf measures 81” [206 cm] from lace pat and inc [M1r] 1 st each end of needle on last garter st row – 18 sts. Next, work in lace pat, beg with chart row 4, then work in garter st for 3 rows more. Bind off all sts.
