Material: Lana Grossa "Mare" (40% rayon, 30% linen, 30% cotton, RL = approx 110 m/50 g): approx 750 (800) g mottled bordeaux (col 15); knitting needles size 4,5, 1 circular knitting needle size 4,5, 80 cm long.
Knotted edge: sl 1. st in every r kwise. Work last st in every r K. Attention: Work all pieces with knotted edge!
Stst: RS r K, WS r P
Attention: Preferably work large pieces with circular knitting needles!
Gauge: 18 sts and 29 r stst with needles size 4,5 = 10 x 10 cm.
Instruction: Arrow in model shows direction of knitting! Work front pieces and back piece crosswise and coherently. Start with left front piece. Cast on 142 sts with circular knitting needle. Work stst, thereby mark each 17. and 27. st from edge on both sides. In 9. r from beg after 1. and before last marked st make 1 st K tbl, after 2. marked st k2tog and before 3. marked st work sts as foll = sl1 kwise, work foll st K and psso. In every 10. r rep these dec and inc another 14x, in this way no of sts inc before resp after inc and decreases between dec. Altogether no of sts stays the same. After 51,5 cm = 150 r from beg for left armhole co 77. – 98. st = 22 sts from right edge and cont both sides sep. Now leave 76 sts on right edge rem for bottom jacket piece. First cont in stst across rem 44 sts of top jacket piece on left edge, thereby for armhole on right edge in every 2. r co 1x 3, 1x 2, 1x 1 and in foll 4. r another 1x 1 st = 37 sts. After 5 (6) cm = 14 (18) r from beg of armhole mark shoulder line. In 5. (9.) r from shoulder line on right edge for further shaping of armhole inc 1 st, then in foll 4. r inc 1 st and in every 2. r cast on another 1x 2 sts and 1x 3 sts = 44 sts. After 5 (6) cm = 14 (18) r from shoulder line leave these sts rem. Now cont across sts left rem first in stst, thereby work inc and dec on left edge for shaping armhole in reverse to top jacket piece, thereby after 5 (6) cm = 14 (18) r from beg of armhole mark line of side seam. After 5 (6) cm = 14 (18) r from side seam line there are 76 sts on needle again. In foll r for height of armhole cast on another 22 sts between both pieces again and work back piece across all 142 sts coherently in stst. When back measures 32 (34) cm = 92 (98) r in width from end of left armhole work right armhole likewise.Then finish right front in reverse to left front, thereby in 1. r mark 32. and 42. st from edge on both sides. In foll 2. r before 1. marked st work sts: sl1 kwise, K1 and psso, after last marked st k2tog, after 2. and before 3. marked st always make 1 st K tbl. Rep these dec and inc another 14x in every 10. r, in this way no of sts inc before resp after inc and decreases between dec. Altogether no of sts stays the same. Cont in stst. After 51,5 cm = 150 r from end of right armhole co sts loosely.
Left sleeve: Cast on 46 sts with needles size 4,5. Work stst, thereby in 1. r mark 8 center sts. In 9. r from beg make1 st K tbl, after marked sts k2tog. In foll 10. r before inc st again make 1 st K tbl, K8, then k2tog, cont in stst across rem sts. Rep these dec and inc in every 10. r until sleeve is finished. Already in 15. (13.) r from beg for slants inc 1 st on each side, then in every 16. (12.) r inc another 6(8)x 1 st each = 60 (64) sts. After 42 cm = 122 r from beg co 3 sts on each side for sleeve head, then in every 2. r co 1x 2, 2x 1 each, in every 4. r 8x 1 each and again in every 2. r 4x 1 each and 2x 2 sts each. Co rem 14 (18) sts in foll r.
Right sleeve: Work like left sleeve but for inc and dec at center of sleeve work as foll: In 9. r from beg before marked sts work sts: sl1 kwise, K1 and psso, see front pieces, after marked st make 1 st K tbl. In foll 10. r work st created by k2tog with foll st as foll: sl1 kwise, K1 and psso, K8, then after inc st make 1 st K tbl again, cont in stst across rem sts. Rep this dec and inc until sleeve is finished in every 10. r.
Finishing: Block pieces, dampen and allow to dry. Join sleeve seams and sew in sleeves acc.
