Materials: Lana Grossa "Linarte" (70% microfiber [rayon], 20% linen, 10% polyamide, running length 137 yrd/50 g), 350 (400) g khaki (col 11), knitting needles size 7 (US).
Stockinette stitch: RS = K, WS = P.
Border pattern: (even no of sts): 1st row: Selv st, *P1, sl1 pwise yfwd, always rep from *. 2nd row: Selv st, *K1, sl1 pwise yb, always rep from *, selv st. 3rd row: K. 4th: P. Repeat 1st – 4th row another 3 x = 16 rows.
Ajour pattern: Work acc knitting chart.
Gauge: Ajour pattern: 19 sts and 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm (approx 4" x 4").
Front: Cast on 98 (106) sts and work 16 rows (= approx 3 cm [approx 1,2"]) in border pattern, thereby co 1 st in last row = 97 (105) sts. Cont in ajour pattern and start with sts preceding pattern repeat after selv st, always repeat pattern repeat, end row with sts succeeding pattern repeat before selv st.When work measures 38 cm (approx 15") from beg, co 8 sts on both sides for armholes = 81 (89) sts. When work measures 49 cm from beg (approx 19,3") co 23 middle sts for neckline and finish both sides separately, thereby co 5 x 3 sts each in every 2nd row for shaping neckline. When work measures 58 cm from beg (approx 22,8") co rem 14 (18) shoulder sts.
Back: Work like front piece of knitting, but only co 23 middle sts for neckline when work measures 55 cm (approx 21,7") and co 3 x 5 sts each in every 2nd row on both sides. When work measures 58 cm from beg (approx 22,8") co rem 14 (18) shoulder sts.
Sleeves: Cast on 64 sts and work 16 rows in border pattern, thereby inc 1 st in 1st row = 65 sts. Then cont in ajour pattern and start with sts preceding pattern repeat after selv st, always repeat pattern repeat, end row with sts succeeding pattern repeat before selv st. Inc 6 x 1 st each in every 6th row for sleeve slant and integrate them into pattern = 77 sts. When work measures 19 cm (approx 7,5") co sts.
Finishing: Join shoulder, side and sleeve seams. Pick up 130 sts from edge of neckline for neckline band, beg and ending at shoulder seam, and work border pattern, starting with 3rd and 4th row, then repeat 1st – 4th row. Co sts in 17th row. Sew on small sides of band. Sew in sleeves.
