Material: Lana Grossa "Divino" (75% cotton, 25% rayon, RL = approx 110 m/50 g): approx 450 (500) g lilac (col 3); knitting needles size 5, 1 circular knitting needle size 5, 80 cm long.
Garter st: RS and WS r K.
Stst: RS r K and WS r P
Godet: Work acc knitting chart A. Nos on the right indicate RS r, in WS r work all sts P. Horizontally start across 14 sts. For shape co 1 st each in 7. r and 5x in every 6. r as indicated. 2 sts are left in the end. Vertically work 1. and 38. r 1x.
Ajour patt: Work acc knitting chart B. Nos on the right indicate RS r, in WS r work all sts and yos P. Horizontally start r with sts before 1. arrow, always work patt rep = 8 sts between arrows, end with sts after 2. arrow. Vertically always rep 1. - 50. r.
Acc dec: Right edge: selv st, K3, k2 resp k3tog. Left edge: sl 1 kwise, foll st K resp k foll 2 sts tog and psso, K3, selv st.
Acc inc: Right edge: selv st, K2, make 1 st K tbl. Left edge: make 1 st K tbl, K2, selv st.
Gauges: 18 sts and 24 r stst with needles size 5 = 10 x 10 cm; 17 sts and 24 r Ajour patt with needles size 5 = 10 x 10 cm.
Back: Cast on 122 (130) sts. For border work 1 cm = 3 r garter st, thereby start with 1 WS r. Then cont in stst with godets as foll: selv st, 8 (12) sts stst, V 14 sts godet, 16 sts stst, from V rep 2x, 14 sts godet, 8 (12) sts stst, selv st. After 16 cm = 38 r from end of border = end of godet needle holds 74 (82) sts. Then work 6 cm = 14 r straight up to waist and place 1 marker on each side. In 1. r from marker for slants on both sides inc 1 st, then in every 6. r inc another 4x 1 st each = 84 (92) sts. After 14 cm = 34 r from marker co 3 sts on each side for armholes, then in every 2. r co another 3x 1 each and in every 4. r 3x 1 st each = 66 (74) sts. When armholes measure 20 (21) cm = 48 (50) r for shoulder slants co 4 (6) sts on each side, then in every 2. r co another 2x 4 (5) sts each. Simultaneously with 1. shoulder dec for round neckline co 38 center sts and cont both sides sep. On inner edge in 2. r co another 1x 2 sts for shaping neckline. Then all sts are worked. Finish other side in reverse.
Left front: Cast on 76 (80) sts. For border work 1 cm = 3 r garter st, thereby start with 1 WS r. Then cont in stst with godets as foll: selv st, 8 (12) sts stst, 14 sts godet, 16 sts stst, 14 sts godet, 22 sts stst, selv st. After 16 cm = 38 r from end of border = end of godet needle holds 52 (56) sts. After 1 cm = 2 r from end of godet leave sts rem for now and for band cast on 100 new sts. Now work across all sts coherently with circular knitting needle, thereby work sts left rem of front first, then add sts of band = 152 (156) sts. After another 5 cm = 12 r place marker and work side slant on right edge at same height as back. Already after 2 cm = 5 r from marker co sts of band on left edge. For neckline slant in foll RS r acc dec 2 sts on left edge, then in every 2. r acc dec 4x 2 each and 15x 1 each, in every 4. r another 4x 1 st each and in every 6. r another 2x 1 st each. In between work armhole and shoulder slant on right edge at same height as back. After last shoulder dec inc 1 selv st and add to 5 rem sts at edge of shoulder = 6 sts. For back border of neckline work another 8 cm = 19 r stst across these sts. Then leave sts rem.
Right front: In reverse to left front and with slash to pull through band. To do so after 3 cm = 6 r from beg of band cont in 2 pieces. First knit across 100 sts of band and 28 (32) sts of front piece, leave other sts rem for now. After 4 cm = 10 r from division work 4 cm = 10 r across sts left rem, thereby do not forget side slant. Then cont across all sts coherently in reverse to left front.
Sleeve: Cast on 51 sts. For border work 1 cm = 3 r garter st, thereby start with 1 WS r. Then cont with Ajour patt. For slants on both sides in 31. (19.) r from end of border inc 1 st in stst, then in 30. (every 18.) r inc another 1(3)x 1 st each = 55 (59) sts. After 38 cm = 92 r from end of border co 3 sts on each side for sleeve head, then in every 2. r co another 1x 2, 5x 1 each, in every 4. r 2x 1 each, then again in every 2. r 5x 1 each and 1x 2 sts. In foll r co rem 17 (21) sts.
Finishing: Block pieces, dampen and allow to dry. Join seams. Join back borders with knit sts and sew on back edge of neckline. Sew in sleeves.
