Materials: Lana Grossa quality "Sari", 100% polyamide, approx 550 (600/650) g nature/beige/brown (col 306), one pair size 9 mm, 12 mm and 15 mm needles.
Basic pattern: stockinette stitch (K on right side, P on wrong side, in rounds K all sts).
Gauge: 12 sts and 17 rows to 10 cm or 4" square (basic pattern with size 9 mm needles).
Front: cast on 59 (65/69) sts with size 15 mm needles, P 1 return row, cont in basic pattern. When work measures 15 cm or 6" from beginning cont with size 12 mm needles. When work measures 30 cm or 11 7/8" cont with size 9 mm needles. When work measures 48 (50/50) cm or 18 7/8 (19 5/8 / 19 5/8)" from beginning bind off 2 sts at each end once, then for shaping bind off 1 st at each end on every alt row 3 (3/4) times. When work measures 52 (54/55) cm or 20 1/2 (21 1/4 / 21 3/4" from beginning slip rem 49 (55/57) sts onto a length of yarn.
Back: work as for front.
Sleeves: cast on 35 sts with size 15 mm needles, P 1 return row, cont in basic pattern. When work measures 15 cm or 6" from beginning cont with size 12 mm needles, then work measure 30 cm or 11 7/8" from beginning cont with size 9 mm needles. For sleeve shaping inc 1 st at each end once on 6th foll row, then 1 st on every 4th row 4 times (1 st on every 4th row 5 times/1 st on every 4th row 4 times, then 1 st on every alt row twice). When work measures 45 (45/46) cm or 17 3/4 (17 3/4 / 18 1/8)" from beginning bind off 2 sts at each end once, then for shaping 1 st at each end on every alt row 3 (3/4) times. When work measures 49 (50/51) cm or 19 1/4 (19 5/8 / 20 1/8)" from beginning slip rem 35 (37/37) sts onto a length of yarn. Work 2nd sleeve alike.
Round yoke: slip sts of all pieces on a 9 mm needles, join in round, cont in basic pattern in rounds, on 1st round work tog joining edge sts with joining st knitwise resp. knitwise tbl = 160 (176/180) sts.
Now dec as foll: size A: 8th round: K tog every 9th and 10th st = 144 sts. 14th round: K tog every 8th and 9th st = 128 sts. 18th round: K tog every 7th and 8th st = 112 sts. 22nd round: K tog every 6th and 7th st = 96 sts. 24th round: K tog every 5th and 6th st = 80 sts. 26th round: K tog every 4th and 5th st = 64 sts. Work another 4 - 6 rounds, then bind off all sts. (Size M: 8th round: K tog every 7th and 8th st = 154 sts. 14th round: K tog every 6th and 7th st = 132 sts. 20th round: K tog every 5th and 6th st = 110 sts. 24th round: K tog every 4th and 5th st = 88 sts. 26th round: K tog every 7th and 8th st = 77 sts. 27th round: K tog every 6th and 7th st = 66 sts. Work another 4 - 6 rounds, dec 2 sts evenly across on 1st round = 64 sts, then bind off all sts./ Size XL: 8th round: K tog every 9th and 10th st = 162 sts. 14th round: K tog every 8th and 9th st = 144 sts. 18th round: K tog every 7th and 8th st = 126 sts. 25nd round: K tog every 6th and 7th st = 108 sts. 24th round: K tog every 5th and 6th st = 90 sts. 26th round: K tog every 4th and 5th st = 72 sts. 28th round: K tog every 8th and 9th st = 64 sts. Work another 4 - 6 rounds, then bind off all sts.
Finishing: join seams.
