Materials:

LANA GROSSA yarn "Tre", 60% cotton, 40% micro-fibres, about 700 (750) g pink (col 35), one pair 6 mm and 7 mm needles, 7 beads.
Border patt: alt K1, P1.
Basic patt: stst (K on Rs, P on Ws).
Diamond motif: see diagram. Only Rs rows are given, on Ws work sts as set, P yo´s. 1 square = 1 st and 2 rows.
Visible dec: right edge: edge st, K2, K2 tog. Left edge: 1 slip dec (= slip 1 knitwise, K1, psso), K2, edge st.
Tension: 12 sts and 17 rows to 10 cm square (basic patt using 7 mm needles).
Front: cast on 57 (61) sts with 6 mm needles and work 1 row in border patt. Cont with 7 mm needles in basic patt. Wwm 10.5 (14) cm work diamond motif over centre sts. Wwm 31.5 (35) cm cast off for armholes 2 sts at each end once. Then dec 1 st on every alt row 4 (5) times, working visible dec. Wwm 37.5 (42) cm work cable over the 3 centre sts as foll: slip 1 on CN and leave at back of work, K2, CN: inc 1 st tbl and K, K1. Then divide work at centre for V-neck, on return row inc 1 st at opening edge. Cont for left front. For neck shaping dec 1 st at left edge on every alt row 11 times, working visible dec. Wwm 51.5 (56) cm cast off for shoulder on every alt row 6 sts twice (6 sts once and 7 sts once).
Back: proceed as given for front, omitting diamond motif. Wwm 50.5 (55) cm work the 21 centre sts in border patt, starting with P1. Wwm 51.5 (56) cm, at the same time with beginning of shoulder shaping cast off the 21 centre sts for neck.
Sleeves: cast on 28 (30) sts with 6 mm needles and work 1 row in border patt. Cont with 7 mm needles in basic patt. For sleeve shaping with 1 st at each end alt on every 6th and 8th row 9 (10) times. Wwm 42 (43.5) cm cast off for sleeve top at each end on every alt row 2 sts once, 1 st twice, 1 st once on 4th row, again on every alt row 1 st 3 times, 2 sts once, 1 st once, 2 sts twice and 3 sts once (on every alt row 2 sts once, 1 st 7 times, 2 sts once, 1 st once, 2 sts twice and 3 sts once). Wwm 57 (58.5) cm cast off rem sts. Work 2nd sleeve alike.
To make up: block pieces to measurements and cover with a damp cloth. Join seams. Sew on beads as shown on diamond motifs on front.
